SALTA, July 9, 2011 (AFP) - The Ecuadorian national team defender, Walter Ayovi, proved to be upset with the defeat by 1-0, to Venezuela, on Saturday, June 9. Despite the setback, the player believes his team can recover against Brazil.
"Actually, I think we should have a little more wisdom in the area. Overall, our team moves well in other areas of the field, but in the area are missing some details", admitted the player.
Ayovi stressed that "we still have an option to achieve what we want”, the athlete said, eyeing a place in the second round.
"Brazil is a major rival, with excellent players. Unfortunately we lost today, but hopefully the team can recover mentally for the next game because we need to be 100%", he added.
