Serie A - Ancelotti to take PSG job

Former Chelsea and AC Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti will be named as the new head coach of Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday, according to widespread reports in France.

It is expected that current coach Antoine Kombouare will be relieved of his position despite the club currently sitting top of Ligue 1 heading into 2012.
PSG's ambitious Qatari owners are believed to have convinced Ancelotti to take up the position by offering the Italian a salary which would ensure he is the best paid coach in the history of French football.
A report in L'Equipe on Wednesday morning claimed Ancelotti stands to earn as much as 6 million euros per year when he takes charge at Parc des Princes.
Both L'Equipe and Le Parisien report that Ancelotti's appointment on a two-and-a-half year contract will be confirmed imminently, and it is believed he will travel to the Middle East on Sunday to join the club's winter training camp in Qatar and Dubai.

The Italian won the Double in the 2009-10 season at Chelsea and twice won the Champions League with Milan, as well as finishing Italian champions in 2004.
Speculation has already started as to which players could be joining Ancelotti in France, primarily due to his strong links with Milan, the club that Leonardo left to become PSG's sporting director this summer.
Milan striker Alexandre Pato, who worked under Ancelotti with the Rossoneri, is believed to be a target for around 50 million euros after voicing his frustration with life at San Siro in an interview in the Italian press earlier this week.
Real Madrid playmaker Kaka, who won the Champions League under Ancelotti at Milan in 2007, is also believed to be a target, while former England international David Beckham is expected to join the French club on a free transfer from LA Galaxy.- http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com
