Striker Luis Suarez, Uruguay, was voted the Best Player LG of the 2011 Copa America. With four goals scored and a lot of energy on the field, led the Uruguayan side, experienced, with Diego Forlan, and Uruguay confirmed the hegemony in the competition.

Against Peru in the semi-finals, Suarez shook twice the vand secured the victory of his selection by 2-0, ensuring a place in the grand final of the Copa America. The star of Liverpool-ENG was voted the Best Player LG in the night in La Plata. He received 31.7% of the votes from Internet users and journalists of CONMEBOL.

Indeed, the striker had only scored against the Peruvians. In the first phase in Group C, former player of Ajax-NED left his in a tie, 1-1 against Peru. But he also scored in the final, today, in the victory over Paraguay. 

"We must be eternally grateful to people who are supporting us," said the striker during the competition, referring to the fans that encouraged the Celeste during the 2011 Copa America.
