Atletico Madrid boss Simeone: I'm too young to coach Inter

The Argentine, who has also been linked with a return to Lazio in a coaching capacity, insists that he is not yet experienced enough to take the reigns at San Siro

Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone has ruled out the prospect of him taking charge of Inter in the near future, insisting that he is too young for the job.

The former Argentina international has made a big impact since taking charge of the Rojiblancos during the winter break, which has prompted speculation that he could one day return to San Siro. However, Simeone insists that it will be some time before he starts entertaining the idea of coaching Inter, believing that the role requires far greater coaching experience than he currently possesses."I'm focused on Atletico and I think only of Atletico," he told Mediaset Premium. "I'm too young for Inter."

Simeone was speaking after his side had just completed a 4-1 aggregate win over Lazio in the last 32 of the Europa League courtesy of a 1-0 victory at the Vicente Calderon on Thursday night. The former midfield ace has, of course, also been linked with the Biancocelesti but he was unwilling to speak on the issue given the current uncertainty surrounding Edy Reja's future as coach.

The 66-year-old Italian has already offered to step down as Lazio boss but Simeone is hopeful that he will be persuaded into remaining at the helm."All of the players are with him, so I hope he decides to stay," the South American stated.Simeone has yet to taste defeat since replacing Gregorio Manzano as Rojiblancos boss in December - http://www.goal.com/
