THE LATEST ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE NEWS – A Demba Ba brace and a winner from Gael Bigirimana placed Newcastle United forward 3-0 against Wigan Athletic in Monday’s Premier League fixture.
The Latics went down to 10 men as early as the 12th minute when defender Maynor Figueroa received a red card for unfairly challenging Papiss Cisse. A minute later, Ba fired the opening goal from the resulting penalty.
Ba managed to leave a footpr1nt in the match when he took over a loose ball from Wigan’s Ali Al-Habsi. Bigirimana sent the Magpies winning through 71st minute header, entailing the Latics to hover near the relegation zone.
