Genoa coach Pasquale Marino has demanded a win and a huge improvement from his players at Atalanta on Wednesday after their disappointing display at Catania on Sunday.
The Grifoni had won their previous two league games, including a 3-2 triumph over Lazio, only to fall 4-0 in Sicily.Wednesday's encounter was scheduled to be played earlier this month but was postponed due to heavy snow in Bergamo. Genoa are still without injured striker Alberto Gilardino but midfielders Juraj Kucka and Kevin Constant return from suspension.
Since then, Marino's men have conceded four times away from home and given away 18 goals in the process.Fortunately for Genoa, rivals Atalanta have struggled in front of goal of late.
The Bergamaschi have found the net just twice in their last five encounters.Atalanta had to settle for a goalless draw despite hitting the post twice against Lecce last weekend. The result left Atalanta in 15th place, six points clear of third-bottom Lecce.
